We carry no stock. Every 7RP insert is cut, stitched, and finished by hand in our atelier on the French Riviera, specially for the customer who orders it. Four hours of work by one craftsperson. Your order will ship on Aug 28.
Composition & care
L'Insert is made in Alcantara®, a suede-feel microfibre woven in Italy and used by some of the world's leading manufacturers, from Porsche to Lanvin. Durable, soft, and washable. When it needs freshening up, machine-wash cold and lay upside-down to dry on a rack. Designed to last as long as the bags it calls home.

The Birkin comes in two variants: Sellier and Retourné. Our inserts are designed to specifically match your bag, so selecting the right variant matters.
Birkin Sellier
The Sellier is saddle-stitched with crisp, structured edges and stitching that sits proud on the outside of the seam. The leather holds its shape with very little softening. Most often crafted in Epsom or Madame leather. The interior is rigid.
Birkin
The Retourné (the classic) is sewn inside out and turned, so the seams sit hidden. Edges are soft, the silhouette gentle, the leather supple. Most often in Togo, Clemence, or Swift. This is the version that softens with use.

Which color should I choose?
If this is your first 7RP insert and your bag is dark, we generally recommend a light tone to enlighten the inside. Many of our customers buy two: one in a tone that closely matches the bag's interior, and one that contrasts. There is no wrong answer. If you'd like guidance, email a photo of your bag to support@7rueparadis.com and we'll happily provide pairing suggestions.
Will the color of L'Insert transfer onto my bag's interior?
We chose Alcantara® specifically because it is color-fast and rigorously tested for color transfer. This was non-negotiable in our material selection.
Can L'Insert be washed?
Yes. L'Insert is machine-washable on a delicate cycle, cool water, mild detergent, no bleach. Air dry flat. The Alcantara® holds its shape and color through repeated washes.
Should the color match my bag's interior?
That is one of the two approaches our collectors take. The other is to choose a contrasting tone — a soft pink against a black interior, a deep green against beige — that reveals itself only when you open the bag. Both are right.
Can I pay in my own currency?
Accepting payments in multiple currencies would force us to raise our prices, so we have made the decision, for the time being, to accept payment in EUR only. For your reference, you will find a live currency converter under the Add to Cart button on every product page.
